Kayak courses
Kayak courses are taught by Janez Skok, a long-standing member of the Slovene national team in whitewater kayak slalom, participant in the Summer Olympics in Barcelona, medal-winning champion at world cups and championships, and coach of the Slovene national kayak team. For the past 20 years, his profound knowledge of and love for the sport has been imparted to anyone interested in kayaking. All of the courses we offer are adapted to recreational activities!
Beginner's kayak course
The beginner's kayak course is taught on the Sava river in Ljubljana. The kayak instructor will introduce you to the basics of safe paddling in calm and not so rough waters. You will get to know the basic paddling equipment, on-water safety, how to enter the kayak and how to hold the paddles properly. You will learn some of the basic paddle movements to navigate your kayak. On the last day of the course, you can put your knowledge to the test during a pleasant trip on the river. Note that the beginner's kayak course can be completed in three days, but it is more intensive.
Advanced kayak course
This course is intended for advanced learners trying to improve and expand their knowledge. We focus on more demanding paddling techniques, sliding of the kayak, a correct and more precise entry into the current and counter-current, and tilting the kayak. With the new skills you will be able to use the current of the river to your advantage more smoothly and effectively. Paddling will also become easier and you will be able to handle more demanding conditions.
Individual kayak course
Individual kayak courses are adapted to your wishes, time and prior knowledge. During the course, your instructor will teach you the paddling basics, help improve or refresh your knowledge and learn the Eskimo roll.
